Applicants must specify whether they apply for associate principal, for tutti or for both positions. Please note: Principal candidates will not be added to the tutti process - or vice versa - unless they have applied for both positions.
In the SSO, associate principal has duty to chairs 1 through 4, but does not rotate to 2nd violin. The tutti violinists rotate between 1st and 2nd violin.
When starting in the SSO, there is a mandatory trial period of 6 months.
