Temporary contract until the end of the 2024/25 season with the option of permanent employment.

The Vorpommern Greifswald/Stralsund Philharmonic Orchestra is one of four professional orchestras in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
As such, it is both the orchestra of the Vorpommern Theatre for opera, operetta, musical and ballet, and a concert orchestra with its own concert series, as well as numerous special concerts, national concert tours and radio recordings.

A written invitation is required to participate in the audition.
On arrival, please report to the gate.
The audition will take place on the rehearsal stage.
The order will be drawn.
The first round will be played anonymously behind a wall.
Please be sure to bring the sheet music for the pianist yourself.
The grand piano is tuned to 443 Hz.
You will have the opportunity to communicate with the pianist from one hour before the start.
Travel and accommodation costs will not be reimbursed.
There is no parking at the theatre. It is forbidden to park between the theatre and the pond! Paid parking is available on the streets and in the car park (Marine Museum) nearby.

Classical concerto of your choice, including the first movement with cadenza and the second movement:

2nd round
Modern concerto of your choice, 1st movement:
B. Bartók, Concerto for Viola and Orchestra (excluding ‘Lento Parlando’)
P. Hindemith, Viola Concerto
W. Walton, Viola Concerto

3rd round
Orchestral excerpts (orchestra audition for viola, Schott Music)
