There will be a pre-selection process for all the candidates taking into account their CV and the mandatory video, well as all the documentation required before the deadline.
On November 25th 2024, the pre-selected candidates will be contacted via e-mail.
The audition will be divided as follows:
1st TEST: Compulsory work
2nd TEST: One work selected by the candidate from the list below.
3rd TEST: Interpretation of the orchestral excerpts as well as the performance, together with members of the orchestra, of a specified work.
Each test of the audition is qualifying.
The selection board has the right to ask for orchestral excerpts as supplementary tests in each round
All the candidates invited to the audition have to fulfill these requirements:
- Candidates must notify their attendance or not at the audition they are registering for 10 days before it is held, as a deadline.
- Candidates who confirm their attendance must pay the amount of €30 at the time of their confirmation to the account that will be indicated to them as the Audition Fee.
Any application that does not meet this requirement without justified cause will be rejected.


La OSM llevará a cabo una preselección de los candidatos teniendo en cuenta el video requerido y su curriculum, junto con toda la documentación requerida en el plazo establecido.
El día 25 de noviembre de 2024, se comunicarán los preseleccionados vía correo electrónico.
Las pruebas constan de
1ª PRUEBA - Obra obligada
2ª PRUEBA - Obra elegida de entre las indicadas.
3ª PRUEBA - Interpretación de diversos pasajes de repertorio orquestal y exposición, junto con miembros de la orquesta, de una obra indicada.
Cada ejercicio de la prueba será eliminatorio
El tribunal se reserva el derecho de pedir parte del repertorio orquestal en todas las pruebas que estime oportunas.
Todos los candidatos invitados a la audición:
- Deberán comunicar su asistencia o no a la audición en la que se inscriben 10 dias antes de su celebración, como tiempo límite.
- Los candidatos que confirmen su asistencia deberán abonar la cantidad de 30€ en el momento de su confirmación a la cuenta que se les indicará en concepto de Derechos por Audición.
Se desestimará cualquier solicitud que no cumpla este requisito sin causa justificada.
De acuerdo con lo establecido en la Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (LOPD), se comunica a cualquier candidato interesado en la presente vacante, que los datos facilitados a través de este formulario de solicitud de empleo, incluido su CV y audiciones requeridas, serán incorporados a un fichero de la ASOCIACIÓN ORQUESTA SINFÓNICA DE MADRID (en adelante, OSM), durante un año, con la exclusiva finalidad de hacerle partícipe de futuros procesos de selección organizados por la orquesta que requieran su perfil.
El candidato conoce que los datos identificados con el símbolo (*) son obligatorios, y en caso de no cumplimentarlos su solicitud de empleo no será tramitada por la OSM.
En el supuesto de producirse alguna modificación de sus datos, rogamos nos lo comunique debidamente por escrito con el fin de mantener su solicitud de empleo actualizada.
La OSM se compromete a no ceder sus datos a terceras entidades y a no utilizarlos para otras finalidades distintas de las señaladas anteriormente.
El candidato autoriza expresamente a que las comunicaciones que hubiera que remitirle sobre su candidatura o proceso de selección, le sean comunicadas por cualquier canal, incluido el correo electrónico y SMS.
La OSM reconoce al interesado, y garantizará, su derecho de acceso, rectificación, oposición y cancelación de los datos personales recogidos. Estos derechos podrán ser ejercitados a través de correo electrónico (osm@osm.es) o mediante solicitud escrita y firmada, dirigida a la Asociación en la siguiente dirección: C/ Barquillo, 8. 1ºDcha. 28004. Madrid, adjuntando en ambos supuestos fotocopia/escáner de su DNI para acreditar su identidad.

First and second movements with cadenza from one of the following concertos:
o W. A. ​​Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, KV 216 (cad. Sam Franko)
o W. A. ​​Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, KV 218 (cad. Joseph Joachim)
o W. A. ​​Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, KV 219 (cad. Joseph Joachim)
It is mandatory to play with the same edition as the one provided by the OSM (Bärenreiter Urtext).

Second round:
First movements with cadenza from one of the following concertos:
o L. V. Beethoven: Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61 (cad. Kreisler or Joachim)
o J. Brahms: Violin Concerto in D major, op. 77 (cad. Kreisler or Joachim)
o P. I. Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto in D major, op. 35
o J. Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D minor, op. 47
One of the following selections from J. S. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas:
o Adagio and Fugue, from Sonata No. 1 for Solo Violin in G minor, BWV 1001
o Grave and Fugue, from Sonata No. 2 for Solo Violin in A minor, BWV 1003
o Ciaccona, from Partita No. 2 for Solo Violin in D minor, BWV 1004
o Adagio and Fugue, from Sonata No. 3 for Solo Violin in C major, BWV 1005
Playing Bach with an Urtext edition is mandatory.

The OSM will provide the necessary scores for the passages in PDF format via Muvac. It is mandatory to play with the scores provided by the OSM. The edition for the Haydn Quartet is G. Henle Verlag.
