The co-principal 2nd violin performs in both the first and second chairs, together with the principal 2nd violin, sharing responsibilities on the podium.
The successful candidate needs to be a strong and experienced leader, and also a team player. They will be expected to be based in Oslo.
Candidates who currently hold a permanent principal or co-principal position in a professional orchestra are requested to apply with a CV and a letter of interest by August 16, 2024.
Candidates who do not currently hold a permanent principal or co-principal position in a professional orchestra are requested to upload a video by August 16, 2024. The contents of the recording are specified in the "Video Requirements" section.
If you are unsure whether your experience warrants a direct invitation to the main audition, it is strongly advised to provide a video.
Qualified candidates will be invited to the main audition, with invitations to be sent 4 weeks in advance.
The audition will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Oslo Concert Hall.
Excerpts will be sent to all invited candidates.
