The vision of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra is to be a world class orchestra that nurtures exceptional music making for all. It is our view that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in, create and enjoy music and music-making, helping individuals and communities everywhere to thrive.

The SCO is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the position of No.3 Second Violin. As a permanent performing member of the SCO, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the Second Violin section.

There will be two rounds of auditions. The first round is an open call for digital submissions. The second round will be a live audition, held in Edinburgh in September.
