Salary and Benefits Basic starting salaries: Principal Second Violin: Approx. SGD 90,000 to SGD 125,000 p.a. (approx. USD 68,200 to USD 94,700 p.a.) Associate Principal Second Violin: Approx. SGD 81,000 to SGD 113,000 p.a. (approx. USD 61,400 to USD 86,000) p.a.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and abilities. Low progressive personal income tax for a tax resident. 52 paid weeks a year, including 6 weeks of paid annual leave in addition to statutory holidays and other leave benefits. Medical, dental, work injury compensation, maintenance (instrument/attire) allowance, travel insurance and instrument insurance benefits. Additional allowance for eligible musicians moving to Singapore. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will receive monthly Central Provident Fund (CPF) contribution based on prevailing contribution rate. Musicians on Work Passes will receive monthly fixed allowance in lieu of CPF contribution which is approximately SGD 16,000 per annum.
General information Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a live audition in Singapore on Tuesday, 14 January 2025 and, if successful, a trial with the orchestra at a later date. All applicants must be free to accept the position if offered. Successful applicants who are offered the position, and who have accepted it, should commence work within a reasonable period of the offer. Singapore Symphony Orchestra tunes to A442. Piano accompaniment is not required for the video and live auditions.
