1st round: 1st movement & cadenza + beginning of 2nd movement from the violin concerto in A major, G major or D major by W.A. Mozart 2nd round: a romantic violin concerto of your choice, 1st movement and possibly cadenza (Please let us know which romantic concerto you are preparing for the audition.)
3rd round: the following orchestral excerpts (will be delivered scanned):- Mendelssohn, A Midsummer Night's Dream, 2nd violin, Overture Allegro molto to bar 39- Johann Strauss, Fledermaus, Overture (1st violin)- Smetana, The Bartered Bride, Overture (2nd violin) to bar 100- Bernstein, ‘On the Town’, No. 14 ‘So long baby’ from letter A - Mozart Symphony No. 39 E flat major 4th movement (2nd violin)
- Bach St Matthew Passion No. 39 alto aria: Have mercy on us
- Bizet Carmen: 1st act, No. 9 chanson & melodrama
