Martin Gabbani is a professional violin maker at Cremona. He works in his own workshop in the historical center of the city.
Gabbani graduated with high honors from International School of violin-making "A. Stradivari" of Cremona with a “Maestro Liutaio” degree. He studied cremonese construction methods under the guidance of Mº Giorgio Scolari and Mº Massimo Negroni and he studied restoring with Mº Alessandro Voltini and Mº Claudio Amighetti. He also attended a construction advanced class of Mº Gianlucca Zanetti and a restoring workshop of Horacio Piñeiro. In addition he studied violin at the "Astor Piazzolla" National Music Conservatory of Buenos Aires.
Gabbani is inspired by the models of the Classical Cremonese School, included in the Representative List of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. His instruments are distinguished and protected by the trademark “Cremona Liuteria” issued exclusively by the Consortium of Violinmakers “Antonio Stradivari” Cremona – of which he is a member – and accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity and Origin.
His instruments are required all over the world for the quality of its sound, the special attention he pays to details, varnish and finishes and the high quality of the materials.
