  • Andrea Schudtz è nato nel 1973. Da piccolo ha frequentato la scuola di musica suonando il violino. Ha fatto i primi passi nell'arte della costruzione degli strumenti ad arco con suo padre Pavel Schudtz, Maestro Liutaio molto famoso che ha lavorato per il Teatro Bolshoj a Mosca (Russia) ed è stato nominato "Esperto Restauratore" della collezione di strumenti dello Stato della Russia e all'età di 15 anni Andrea produce i suoi primi strumenti.
    Intorno al 1990 la famiglia Schudtz si è trasferita in Spagna sotto invito del Principe della Fondazione di Asturias (Spagna) al padre Pavel Schudtz a trasferirsi in Spagna e lavorare per l'orchestra del Principato. Da allora Andrea ha lavorato nel laboratorio del padre apprendendo le tecniche di restauro degli strumenti antichi. Nel 1991 Andrea decide di frequentare la Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria a Cremona e si trasferisce in Italia e si diploma con i maestri Mo. Conia, Mo. Scolari e Mo. Negroni. Durante gli anni scolastici, pratica e perfeziona la sua tecnica liutaria nella bottega del Mo. Alessandro Crillovi. Dopo aver ottenuto il Diploma, lavora presso la Bottega Scuola CEE di Cremona e dal 1996 al 1998 frequenta il corso di Archetteria della Regione Lombardia ed ottiene il relativo attestato.
    Ha partecipato a svariati concorsi di liuteria, come ad esempio:
    • Violin Makers Competition of Tchaikovschy, Mosca - 1990 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma, ha raggiunto il 5° posto Violoncello e gli è stato assegnato il premio per il partecipante più giovane;ù
    • Violin Makers Competition di Praga (Repubblica Ceca) - 1992 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma;
    • 4 a edizione Concorso di Liuteria di Baveno (Italia) - 1993 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma;
    • 2 nd Violin Makers Competition of Tchaikovschy, Mosca - 1994 - dove ha raggiunto il 5° posto Violino ed il Premio per il miglior suono offerto dai Liutai francesi;
    • 6 a edizione Concorso di Liuteria di Baveno (Italia) - 1997 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma;
    • Concours Internationaux de la Ville de Paris, Parigi (Francia) - 1999 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma;
    • International VSA Competition, USA - 2000 - dove ha ottenuto il Diploma;
    I suoi strumenti sono fatti seguendo le regole dei modelli classici della Scuola Cremonese come ad esempio Stradivari, Guarneri ed Amati, aggiungendo soltanto un tocco personale. La sua vernice è molto sottile ed elastica e la scelta del legno è eccellente. Tutte queste qualità rendono i suoi strumenti famosi tra i musicisti di tutto il mondo. Attualmente vive e lavora a Cremona dove ha aperto una bottega in centro città. Costruisce e ripara viole, violini e violoncelli. Effettua restauri sia agli strumenti che agli archi e, su richiesta, effettua riproduzioni di strumenti antichi.

  • Andrea Schudtz was born in November 1973. He took his first steps in the art of violin making with his father Pavel Schudtz, a famous Mo.Liutaio who worked for Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and became an expert of the instrument collection of the state of Russia.

    As a child Andrea began playing the violin and also attended the Central School of Music. When he was about 15 he started making his first instrument.. In 1990 the "Prince of Asturias Foundation" invited his father Pavel Schudtz to move to Spain and work for its Orchestra. The Family moved to Spain and Andrea started working with his father learning about the restoration of antique instruments.They opened two workshops: one in Oviedo(Asturias) and one in Madrid.

    In 1991 Andrea decided to attend the International School of Violins Making in Cremona and moved to Italy. He studied with Mo. Conia, Mo. Negroni, Mo. G. Scolari and in 1995 graduated from the school. While attending the first year of the school he worked in Mo.Crillovi's workshop. From 1995 to 1997 he attended the bow making course in Cremona ,while working in the Bottega Scuola Cee.

    His instruments are made following the classical models of the Cremonese School, such as Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati with a personal touch. His varnish is very thin and elastic and the choice of the wood is excellent. These qualities make his instruments very succesfull with musicians all over the world. At present he lives and works in Cremona where has opened a workshop in the center of town. He builds and repairs violins, violas and cellos; he also restores all stringed instruments and their bows and, under request, he also makes copies of antique instruments.

    Andrea has taken part in several violin making competition, such as: -Violin Makers competition Tchaikovsky,Moscow - 1990 - where he earned the 5 th place for Violoncello and the Prize for the youngest participant; -Violin Makers competition in Prague -1992- -4 th . National Violin Makers Competition in Baveno, Italy - 1993 -2 nd ,Violin Makers Competition of Tchaikovsky,Moscow - 1994 where he earned the 5 th place for violin and the prize for the best sound offered by the french Violin Makers -6 th National Violin Makers competition in Baveno,Italy - 1997.

  • À l’âge de 11 ans, le maître luthier Andrea Schudtz construisait déjà son premier instrument. En participant, à à peine 15 ans au ìConcours International Tchaïkovskiî, il entre dans l’histoire du concours comme le plus jeune participant de tous les temps. La lutherie est une passion ancienne pour le jeune maître. Son extraordinaire travail est reconnu et apprécié par les plus célèbres et éminents musiciens internationaux, et ses violons, altos et violoncelles sont joués dans les plus importants orchestres du monde entier.

    Andrea Schudtz est né en 1973 dans la famille de Pavel Schudtz, célèbre maître luthier du Théâtre du Bolchoï de Moscou. Et c’est de son père Pavel qu’Andrea hérite l’amour pour la recherche sur les travaux des grandes dynasties : Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri, Testori, et de nombreux autres grands maîtres. Pavel Schudtz s’était consacré à analyser, développer et élaborer les projets des Grands Maîtres. De même Andrea a été impliqué depuis l’enfance dans la recherche de leurs secrets. Mais c’est en Italie, en fréquentant l’Ecole Supérieure de Lutherie “Stradivari”, qu’Andrea affiner sa technique et développera sa créativité dans le secteur de la construction et de la restauration des instruments du quatuor. Après avoir obtenus on diplôme, il approfondira ses études dans le secteur de la construction des archets.

    En 1998, à tout juste 25 ans, Andrea Schudtz ouvre à Crémone son atelier “Schudtz Dynasty”. Depuis 1990 le jeune maître vit en Italie, dans la ville de Crémone, l’endroit où habitaient et travaillaient les grands maîtres : Amati, Guarneri, Stradivari, Bergonzi. Sa conviction profonde est que c’est justement à Crémone, là où les traditions et l’esprit des vieux maîtres sont palpables, que ses splendides instruments doivent être créés, en incarnant une harmonie achée qui unit le passé et le présent.

    Andrea aime affronter de nouveaux défis, et en se fixant des objectifs toujours plus audacieux, son atelier est toujours présent aux plus importantes expositions internationales d’Italie, d’Allemagne, de Chine, de France. Bien qu’étant orienté vers l’innovation et la recherche, il possède des matrices de construction d’instruments à archet de style classique crémonais, et des recettes anciennes pour la préparation des vernis. Son expertise des instruments anciens italiens est reconnue à l’échelle internationale. Ses instruments sont présents dans les orchestres les plus prestigieux d’Europe : un célèbre orchestre de chambre grec utilise uniquement des instruments de musique de l’atelier Schudtz.

    Sur les instruments construits par Andrea Schudtz il y a un timbre: c’est l’emblème de ses nobles ancêtres d’origine allemande, qui constitue une marque de grand professionnalisme et de fidélité aux traditions de la dynastie des Maîtres luthiers à laquelle il appartient.

  • Schon im Alter von nur 11 Jahren baute Geigenbaumeister Andrea Schudtz sein erstes Instrument. Mit nur 15 Jahren nahm er am internationalen Geigenbauwettbewerb Tschaikowski teil und trat so - als jüngster Teilnehmer aller Zeiten - in die Geschichte dieses Wettbewerbs ein. Der Geigenbau ist eine Leidenschaft für den jungen Meister. Seine außerordentliche Arbeit wird weltweit von bekannten und herausragenden Musikern geschätzt und seine Geigen, Bratschen und Violoncelli finden in den wichtigsten Orchestern der Welt Verwendung.

    1973 wurde Andrea Schudtz geboren. Sein Vater, Pavel Schudtz, war der berühmte Geigenbaumeister des Bolschoi Theaters in Moskau, von dem Andrea auch die Leidenschaft erbte, die Arbeiten der großen Dynastien wie z.B. die der Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri, Testore und vieler anderer großen Meister zu erforschen.

    Pavel Schudtz hatte sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Werke der großen Meister zu studieren, analysieren und weiterzuentwickeln und auch Andrea wurde schon von klein auf in dieses Projekt miteingeschlossen.

    Dann in Italien, während seiner Ausbildung an der internazionalen Berufsfachschule für Geigenbau in Cremona, Italien vervollkommnet Andrea seine Technik und entwickelt seine Kreativität auf dem Gebiet des Neubaus und der Restaurierung von Streichinstrumenten. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss seiner Ausbildung vertieft er seine Kenntnisse im Bogenbau.

    Im Jahr 1998, mit nur 25 Jahren, eröffnet dann Andrea Schudtz seine Werkstatt in Cremona. Seit 1990 lebt der junge Geigenbauer in Cremona, der Stadt, in der die großen Meister wie die Amati, Guarneri, Stradivari und Bergonzi lebten und wirkten.

    Andrea Schudtz ist fest davon überzeugt, dass seine großartigen Instrumente in Cremona, wo die Tradition lebt und der Geist der alten Meister schwebt, gebaut werden müssen und eine latente Harmonie, die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart verbindet, verkörpern müssen.

    Andrea liebt die Herausforderung und das Streben nach hohen Zielen. Daher ist seine Werkstatt auch immer auf den wichtigsten internationalen Messen in Italien, China , Frankreich und Deutschland präsent/vertreten. Immer an der Innovation orientiert und an der Forschung interessiert bleibt Andrea dennoch dem klassischen traditionellen Cremoneser Geigenbau – sei es bei der Konstruktion der Streichinstrumente, sei es beim Herstellen des Lackes – treu.

    Seine Wertgutachten für antike italienische Instrumente sind international anerkannt. Seine Streichinstrumente werden in den wichtigsten europäischen Orchestern gespielt und es gibt sogar ein Kammerorchester in Griechenland, das ausschließlich auf Instrumenten aus der Werkstatt Schudtz spielt. Andrea Schudtz signiert seine Instrumente im Inneren auch mit einem Brandstempel. Dieser Brandstempel stellt ein Wappen seiner antiken deutschen Adelsfamilie dar und ist ein Gütezeichen von hoher Professionalität und Treue an die Dynastie der Geigenbauer zu der er gehört.
