Jan Bobak - a graduate of the Technical College of Violin Making in Nowy Targ, member of Polish Violin Makers Association, first prize winner of International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Maker Competition year of 1986 - founder of Bobak Violino.
He worked, for over 2 years, under direction of Tetsuo Matsuda for William Harris Lee Workshop in Chicago. Since 1987, his violin making activity has been connected to that workshop, and it's provided him promotion and sale of his instrument. Employees of Bobak Violino Workshop, which was set up in 1988, are graduates of the Technical College of Violin Making and young adepts of the Fine Arts High School in Zakopane.
The new owner of the firm, Jan Bobak's son - Grzegorz has joined the crew. He studied for over one year in Chicago School of Violin Making in the USA.
The international character of our Workshop caused the instruments signed by Jan and Grzegorz Bobak are known in many other countries such as Japan, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria. Our instruments are also sold with a success in Poland and they are played by musicians in symphonic orchestras and students of music academies in the whole country.
