The Joseph Joachim Academy has set itself the task of enabling aspiring professional musicians to gain professional experience in their desired field of activity, thus making a valuable contribution to quality assurance within the German orchestral landscape.
The Joseph Joachim Academy provides young instrumentalists with financial support (€850.00 per month) for two years, individual lessons with members of the orchestra, the opportunity to take part in career-related workshops (e.g. audition training, workshops with internationally renowned soloists of the NDR Radiophilharmonie and yoga for musicians) and the chance to participate in rehearsals, concerts and recordings of the NDR Radiophilharmonie.
