Takuya Nihira

He was initiated to violin-making at the age of 16. After several years of work under by his Master Yukio OZAKI (Shibuya Gengakki in Tokyo), he moved to Cremona to improve his knowledge and skills.
He has been living in Paris since 1996, and he is, at Guy Coquoz workshop, in charge of the high restoration of stringed instruments while continuing to build new instruments.

He has opened his own workshop in Tokyo in 2009.

Il s’initie à la lutherie dès l’âge de 16 ans et après avoir travaillé pendant plusieurs années auprès du Maître Yukio OZAKI, au sein de la maison Shibuya-Gengakki, il part parfaire ses connaissances à Crémone.
Installé à Paris dès 1996, il est, à l’atelier de Guy Coquoz, en charge de la Haute Restauration des instruments du quatuor et poursuit par ailleurs, son activité de constructeur.

Depuis Octobre 2009 il a ouvert dans son propre atelier à Tokyo.
