Marianne Jost

Marianne Jost was born in 1971 in Locarno Switzerland.
She moved to Italy in 1993 to study at the International School of Violin Making (I.P.I.A.L.L.) in Cremona where she received her diploma in 1997.
From 1998 to 2001 she attended a course in bow making, maintenance and restoration sponsored by the Lombardy Region in Cremona.
In 2001-2002 she collaborated as a restorer with the curator of the City’s musical instrument collection in Freiburg, Germany.
She now works independently and makes violins, violas, and cellos.
