Having graduated from the International Violinmaking School of Cremona in 2002 after three years of study, I then had the opportunity to gain experience making stringed instruments at the studio of Maestro Giorgio Scolari for a year.
In 2004, I set up practice in my own workshop in the Southwest of France (Lot, France). I devote myself exlusively to making violins, violas and cellos. I also dedicate a large part of my time to preparing for numerous international luthier competitions.
Building them is a wonderful way to express my creativity, and I am convinced that contemporary instruments must play a significant role in French violinmaking, in the same way as historical production, in order to maintain a wide and exhaustive choice for musicians, and a healthy competition among violinmakers.
My production is limited because, above all else, I wish to favor a certain quality of workmanship.My favorite models are, of course, largely inspired by the great Cremonese masters of violinmaking : Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, Amati, etc. I also use more recent references to Italian violinmakers, such as Giuseppe Ornati and F.Garimberti (20th century). My goal is not to copy these illustrious references, but to draw inspiration from them, adding a personal touch that gives charater to my work.
The woods that I use are, naturally, sugar maple (particularly from the Balkans) and Italian spruce (Val di Fiemme).
I use the two main varnish techniques: alcohol varnish and oil varnish, with a slight preference for the latter.

Diplômé de l'école de lutherie de Crémone en 2002 au terme de trois années d'études, j'ai ensuite eu l'opportunité d'acquérir de l'expérience dans la construction des instruments du quatuor chez le Maestro Giorgio Scolari durant une année.
Depuis 2004, je me suis installé dans mon propre atelier dans le Sud-Ouest (Lot, France). Je me consacre exclusivement à la fabrication de violons, altos et violoncelles. Je dédie également une large part de mon temps à la préparation de nombreux concours internationaux de lutherie.
Le travail de fabrication est un formidable moyen d'exprimer ma créativité et je suis persuadé que les instruments contemporains doivent tenir un rôle important dans la lutherie française au même titre que la production ancienne afin de maintenir un choix vaste et exhaustif pour les musiciens et une saine émulation entre les luthiers.
Ma production est limitée car je désire avant tout privilégier une certaine qualité de travail.Mes modèles de prédilection sont, bien entendu, largement inspirés des grands maîtres luthiers crémonais : Stradivari, Guarneri del gesù, Amati…. J'utilise également des références plus récentes de luthiers italiens tels que Giuseppe Ornati ou F. Garimberti (xx° siècles). Mon but n'étant pas de copier ces illustres références mais de m'en inspirer en y ajoutant une touche personnelle donnant du caractère à mon travail.
Les bois que j'emploie sont naturellement : l'érable ondé (plus particulièrement celui des Balkans) et l'épicéa italien (Val di Fiemme).
J'utilise les deux techniques de vernis principales : le vernis à l'alcool et le vernis à l'huile avec une petite préférence pour ce dernier.
