  • Fernando Salvatore Lima è nato a Santa Maria da Feira in Portogallo e già in giovane età ha dimostrato una dote particolare per la musica e l'arte in generale.
    La sua manualità era riconosciuta fin da quando era molto giovane. Infatti ha costruito il suo primo strumento all'età di 16 anni e da allora ha sempre mantenuto vivo l'interesse a sviluppare questa arte sia per quanto riguarda la costruzione di strumenti che per il restauro.
    Ha frequentato per anni vari laboratori di restauro e per lungo tempo si è dedicato al restauro di strumenti di pregio, sviluppando in questo modo le tecniche di restauro più sofisticate. Ha viaggiato spesso in Italia, Germania e Inghilterra per approfondire la conoscenza di questa preziosa arte secolare.
    Questo suo impegno gli ha consentito di apprendere l'essenza costruttiva dei grandi maestri italiani, in particolare quelli cremonesi. La sua passione per l'alta liuteria lo porta successivamente a trasferirsi a Cremona dove si è laureato Maestro Liutaio presso la scuola Antonio Stradivari. Ha quindi aperto un proprio laboratorio in Piazza Roma 8, dove lavora tuttora.
    La sua tenace perseveranza nella ricerca finalizzata alla realizzazione di strumenti dalla sonorità simile a quella raggiunta dal Maestro Guarneri del Gesù, gli ha permesso di acquisire un eccellente grado di sonorità , molto apprezzata dai musicisti di grande livello in tutto il mondo.
    Oggi produce copie di strumenti di Stradivari e Guarneri del Gesù, cercando di mantenere la tradizione dei grandi maestri cremonesi, e impegnandosi con costante passione e dedizione al fine di realizzare strumenti di sempre più elevata qualità acustica oltre che di grande bellezza

  • Fernando Salvatore Lima was born in Santa Maria da Feira in Portugal. As a young man he showed a special gift for music and art in general and his manual skill was already clearly apparent. He crafted his first instrument as he was only 16 and since then he always sought to develop his knowledge of the art of new instrument making and restoration. In order to learn the most sophisticated restoration techniques, he attended various restoration workshops over the years and dedicated himself to the restoration of prestigious instruments. He travelled to Italy, Germany and England to deepen his knowledge of this precious centuries-old art. His dedication allowed him to seize the essence of the great Italian masters’ crafting art, in particular the Cremonese ones. His passion for quality lutherie eventually led him to Cremona, where he received a diploma as a Master Violin Maker from the Antonio Stradivari School. He opened his own workshop in Piazza Roma 8, where he currently works. His determination to achieve a sound similar to that of Guarneri del Gesù, enabled him to buid excellent sounding instruments, which are greatly appreciated by accomplished musicians throughout the world. Today he crafts copies of Stradivari and Guarneri del Gesù instruments, following the great Cremones masters’ traditional crafting methods. He works with passion and dedication in order to make the highest quality instruments with the finest sound and exquisite beauty.

  • Fernando Salvatore Lima est né à Santa Maria da Feira, au Portugal. Dès son plus jeune âge il a démontré avoir un don particulier pour la musique et l’art en général. Son habileté manuelle a été reconnue dès son plus jeune âge : il a construit son premier instrument quand il n’avait que 16 ans. Depuis lors il a toujours été intéressé à développer l’art de la construction et de la restauration des instruments. Il a fréquenté de différents ateliers de restauration pendant des années et il s’est longtemps consacré à la restauration d’instruments de valeur, en appliquant les techniques de restauration les plus sophistiquées. Il a beaucoup voyagé en Italie, en Allemagne et en Angleterre pour approfondir ses connaissances de cet art séculaire et précieux. Son application lui a permis d’apprendre l’essence de la construction des grands maîtres italiens, en particulier ceux de Crémone. Sa passion pour la lutherie de haut niveau l’a poussé à se déplacer à Crémone où il a obtenu son diplôme de Maître luthier à l’École de lutherie Antonio Stradivari. Il a ensuite ouvert son propre atelier en Piazza Roma 8, où il travaille toujours.

    Sa persévérance et sa ténacité dans la recherche et la réalisation d’instruments ayant une sonorité semblable à celle des instruments de Guarnerius del Gesù, lui ont permis d’acquérir un excellent niveau de sonorité, très apprécié par les musiciens de haut niveau du monde entier. Aujourd’hui il crée des copies d’instruments de Stradivarius et de Guarnerius del Gesù, en cherchant à maintenir la tradition des grands maîtres crémonais, et il s’engage avec passion et dévouement dans la réalisation d’instruments caractérisés par une qualité acoustique et une beauté toujours plus grandes.

  • Fernando Salvatore Lima wurde in Santa Maria da Feira (Portugal) geboren. Im jungen Alter bereits zeigte er eine besondere Begabung für Musik und Kunst im allgemeinen. Als er noch sehr jung war, war seine Handfertigkeit schon anerkannt. Mit 16 baute er nämlich sein erstes Instrument und seitdem hat sich sein Interesse für den Bau und die Restauration von Instrumenten immer erhalten. Er hat über die Jahre viele verschiedene Geigenbauwerkstätten besucht und der Restauration wertvoller Instrumente viel Zeit gewidmet, auf diese Weise entwickelte er ausgefeilte Restaurationstechniken. Er reiste oft nach Italien, Deutschland und England, um dieses jahrhundertealte Handwerk noch besser verstehen zu können. Seine Bemühungen erlaubten es ihm, die Bauweise der großen italienischen Meister, insbesondere die der Geigenbauer von Cremona zu erlernen.

    Seine Leidenschaft für die hohe Geigenbaukunst brachte ihn dazu nach Cremona zu ziehen, wo er in der Schule „Antonio Stradivari“ das Diplom zum Meister des Geigenbaus erwarb. Danach öffnete er seine Werkstatt am Piazza Roma 8, wo er noch immer arbeitet.
    Seine ausgeprägte Beharrlichkeit bei der Forschung im Instrumentenbau, speziell orientiert an der Akustik der Instrumente des Meisters Guarneri del Gesù, erlauben es ihm, eine Klangvielfalt fülle zu erreichen, die weltweit von herausragenden Musikern sehr geschätzt wird.
    Heute baut er Kopien von Stradivari und Guarneri del Gesù Instrumenten. Er versucht auf diese Weise die Tradition der großen Meister aus Cremona zu erhalten und widmet sich mit beständiger Hingabe und Leidenschaft der Erschaffung von neuen Instrumenten mit einer verbesserten Akustik und von immer anmutiger Schönheit.

    Для более глубокого изучения древнего искусства скрипичного мастерства часто посещал Италию, Германию, Англию, и в результате долгих поисков открыл для себя «ÑÐµÐºÑ€ÐµÑ‚Ñ‹» великих итальянских, в частности кремонских, мастеров.
    Следуя призванию, переезжает в Кремону, оканчивает Школу скрипичного мастерства им. Антонио Страдивари и открывает собственную мастерскую по адресу: Piazza Roma 8, где и работает по сей день.
    Завидное упорство в стремлении добиться звучания, схожего с инструментами Гварнери Дель Джезу, позволило мастеру получить отличное качество звука, высоко оцененное выдающимися музыкантами во всем мире.
    На сегодняшний день создает копии Страдивари и Гварнери Дель Джезу, стараясь сохранить традиции великих кремонских мастеров и стремясь к постоянному совершенствованию акустических возможностей инструментов, не говоря уже о внешней красоте.
