Piano accompaniment in concertos is mandatory.
The application must indicate whether the applicant requests the piano accompaniment to be provided by the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice or if they will arrange their own accompanist. In case the applicant requests an accompanist from the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice, they should also send information about the selected concertos along with their application (or provide, upon request, a scan/copy of the piano parts).
Applicants may perform from sheet music.
1st ROUND OF THE AUDITION: a) Solo repertoire: J. S. BACH: Sonatas and Partitas – Ciaccona or one of fugues One of the following concertos – exposition of the 1st movement: W. A. MOZART: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major (KV 216) W. A. MOZART: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major (KV 218) W. A. MOZART: Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major (KV 219) b) Orchestral excerpts – 1st Violin: STRAUSS: Don Juan, symphonic poem MOZART: Symphony No. 39 E-flat major – 4th movement
2nd ROUND OF THE AUDITION: a) Solo repertoire: One of the following concertos – 1st and 2nd movements including cadenzas: W. A. MOZART: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major (KV 216) W. A.
