We are looking for a versatile, solid musician.
He or she will be able to assist the solo double bassist in the OCG's main repertoire (from Bach to the present day) and may occasionally be asked to play solo parts in a variety of styles, including jazz.
Fluency on 5-string double bass desirable.
The competition will be held in orchestral harmony.
We do not cover any travel or accommodation expenses related to the competition.
There will be no rehearsals with the pianist before the day of the competition.
1st round:
Your choice: K.D. von Dittersdor, Concerto No. 2 in E Maj. Kr. 172, 1st movement with cadenza or
J.B. Vanhal, Concerto in E flat major, + 1st movement with cadenza
