Comes from Gelsenkirchen and studied violin making at the Welsh School of Violin Making in Wales, UK. Before working with Andreas Kägi in Berlin she was employed by Thomas Uphoff, Mannheim.
In the summer of 1997 she took her exams in Hamburg to become a Master Violin Maker.
Barbara's focus is on bow repairs and bow rehairing.

Originaire de Gelsenkirchen, elle est luthier diplômé de la Welsh School of Musical Instrument Making and Repair au Pays de Galles, Grande Bretagne.
Elle travaille pour Thomas Uphoff à Mannheim et pour Andreas Kägi à Berlin òu elle se spécialise dans les archets. En été 1997, elle devient Maître Luthier à Hambourg.
Outre son travail sur les archets, elle s'occupe aussi de la partie administrative de la société.
