Né a Vallorbe, dans le Jura Vaudois (Suisse), j'ai fait un apprentissage d'ébéniste à l'Ecole des Métiers de Lausanne. Fils de luthier restaurateur, principalement de guitares, je me suis très vite intéressé à la construction et réparation d'instruments. Spécialement de violons. Après avoir travaillé dans plusieurs entreprises de menuiserie, j'ai donc déménagé a Crémone. J'ai fréquenté trois ans l'Ecole Internationale de Lutherie "Antonio Stradivari", où je me suis diplômé en juillet 2012. J'y ai appris la construction avec le Maestro Angelo Sperzaga, et la réparation avec les Maestri Alessandro Voltini et Claudio Amighetti. J'ai ensuite perfectionné mes connaissances sur le réglage acoustique et le "free plate tuning" en suivant un cours de techniciens IFTS, organisé par la région Lombardie auquel ont participé des artisans et des professeurs de renom, dont Luca Primon (Trento, Italie), Andrea Ortona (J&A Beare, Londres), Gregg Alf (USA, Italie), Claude Macabrey (Lyon, France) et George Stoppani (UK). J'ai conclu le cours de formation par un stage chez le maître luthier Angelo Sperzaga, à Crémone. Je travaille depuis 2014 en Suisse et à Crémone, me concentrant sur la construction des instruments du quatuor moderne.

Nato a Vallorbe, nel Giura Svizzero, ho effettuato un apprendistato di ebanista presso la Scuola dei Mestieri di Lausanne. Figlio di liutaio, restauratore principalmente di strumenti a pizzico, mi sono da sempre interessato al campo liutario. Per quello, doppo avere lavorato in diverse imprese di ebanisteria e falegnameria, mi sono trasferito a Cremona, città per eccellenza della tradizione liutaria e tuttoggi grande centro di quest'arte.

Ho frequentato per tre anni la scuola internazionale "Antonio Stradivari", sotto la guida del Maestro Angelo Sperzaga per la costruzione, e dei Maestri Alessandro Voltini e Claudio Amighetti per il restauro, diplomato in Luglio 2012. Ho poi frequentato il corso IFTS di perfezionamento sull'acustica degli strumenti, tenuto da liutai e ricercatori di tutta Europa, tra i cui Luca Primon, Andrea Ortona, Greg Alf e Claude Macabrey. -
Born in the Swiss "Jura" mountains, I did an apprenticeship as cabinet maker in the technical school of Lausanne. Son of a luthier, mostly guitar restorer, from my childhood I have much interest in instruments making, especially violins. I moved then to Cremona, home of the greatest makers of the past and nowadays important center of the art of violin making.

I then followed a course on the acoustical setup and tuning of instruments and parts (free plates, fingerboard, ...) taught by Luca Primon (Trento, IT) and Andrea Ortona (J&A Beare, London) featuring important makers and scientists, such as Gregg Alf (US), George Stoppani (UK), Claude Macabrey (FR), Brigitt Brandmair (DE), Alberto Giordano (Genova, IT).
