Sophie Erdal studied at the Newark School of Violin-Making in England.

She obtained her diploma in 2001, and then went to Australia as assistant to Ian W. Clarke, where she specialised in restoration.
In 2002 she returned to England as assistant to Peter Waters, and opened her own workshop to specialise in restoration, setting up, and sound adjustment.
In 2005 she moved back to France, opened a workshop in Perpignan, where she was brought up, and met Julien Mortier.
They became associates in 2007, married and have two children: Amandine et Robin. -

Diplomée en 2001 elle devient l'assistante d'Ian W. Clarke, en Australie, et se spécialise en réparation.
En 2002 elle retourne en Angleterre, devient assistante de Peter Waters et parallèlement ouvre son atelier spécialisé en réparation, restauration, montage et réglage sonore.
En 2005 elle ouvre son atelier à Perpignan, d'où elle est originaire, et rencontre Julien Mortier.
Ils associent leurs ateliers en 2007, se marient et ont deux enfants : Amandine et Robin. -
Sophie Erdal va estudiar la lutieria a l'Escola Internacional de Lutieria de Newark-on-Trent, a Anglaterra.

Diplomada al 2001 esdevé l'assistent d' Ian W. Clarke, a Austràlia, i s'especialitza en reparacions.
Al 2002 torna a Anglaterra, fou assistent de Peter Waters i paral·lelament va obrir el seu taller especialitzat en reparacions, restauracions, muntatges i ajusts sonors.
Al 2005 va obrir el seu taller a Perpinyà, ciutat de la qual és originària i va encontrar Julien Mortier.
S'associen al 2007, es casen i tenen dos nens : Amandine i Robin.
