From Albertville (France), he learnt the trade of violin making at the Welsh School of Instrument Making in Wales, UK.
For over 10 years he gained experience in restoration in the workshops of Bernhard Franke, Stuttgart and Andreas Kägi, Berlin.
In November 1997 he established the Studio for Violin Making and Restoration with Daniel. Yves' specialisation lies in restoration and sound adjustment of old and valuable instruments.
Since 2007 member of the International Society of Violin and Bow Makers

Né à Albertville(France), il est luthier diplômé de la Welsh School of Musical Instrument Making and Repair au Pays de Galles, Grande Bretagne.
Après sa formation, il se perfectionne chez Bernhard Franke à Stuttgart et Andreas Kägi à Berlin. Depuis novembre 1997, il est établi à Berlin avec Daniel, son associé.
Yves se spécialise dans la restauration et la réparation ainsi que le réglage d'instruments anciens.
Depuis 2007, membre de l'Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Archetiers.

Bei Bernhard Franke, Stuttgart , sowie Andreas Kägi, Berlin sammelte er über 10 Jahre wichtige Erfahrungen in der Restaurierung. Im November 1997 gründete er mit Daniel das "Atelier für Geigenbau und Restaurierung".
Arbeitsschwerpunkte von Yves sind die Restaurierung und Klangeinstellung alter und hochwertiger Instrumente.
Seit 2007 Mitglied der Internationalen Vereinigung der Geigenbau- und Bogenmacher- Meister.
