informations	The 74th Gian Battista Viotti International Music Competition dedicated to violinists will be held Oct. 12-19, 2024, at the Civic Theater in Vercelli. The Vercelli Competition, established in 1950, which in recent decades has celebrated pianists and opera singers, is aimed at violinists on the special anniversary of the bicentenary of the death of Giovan Battista Viotti, the great musician born in the province of Vercelli. The Violin Competition 2024 consists of four rounds with the grand final with orchestra featuring the Milan Symphony Orchestra conducted by Francesco Ommassini. The amount of the prizes is 31,000 euros. The 74th Viotti Competition is open to violinists of all nationalities born after Oct. 19, 1991. Online application by July 28, 2024.
