The Oslo Philharmonic, under the leadership of Chief Conductor Klaus Mäkelä, invites highly qualified candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Principal Viola , 1 full time position. We are looking for a dedicated orchestral musician who is willing to invest in and actively contribute to our orchestra's inner life and its continued artistic development.
Candidates who hold a relevant full time permanent position or have a relevant orchestral experience are requested to apply with a CV and a letter of interest by August 9, 2024.
Candidates who do not currently hold a permanent position in a professional orchestra and/or have relevant orchestral experience are requested to upload a video (one take) by August 9, 2024.
The contents of the recording are specified in the "Video Requirements" section.
If you are unsure whether your experience warrants a direct invitation to the main audition, it is strongly advised to provide a video.
Qualified candidates will be invited to the main audition, with invitations to be sent by August 16, 2024.
The audition will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Oslo Concert Hall.
Excerpts will be sent to all invited candidates.
